FinTech Series: Data & Analytics in Investment Management

In recent years, investment researchers have used new data sets to aid their investment decision making. Both large and small investment managers have totally upended their existing processes in and rebuilt the investment side of their businesses to incorporate these data and analytics packages. Meanwhile, many investment managers have outright rejected these changes and have stuck to their tried and true fundamental analysis. This session will discuss what are the uses and limits of using a data-driven investment management process? How much of the investment management business will be run by machines?
