CFA Society San Francisco (CFASF) leads the investment profession by promoting the highest standards of ethics and professional excellence through education and fellowship. With its origin dating back to March 1929, CFASF is the second oldest and seventh largest of the nearly 150 societies globally that now constitute the membership arm of the prestigious CFA Institute, a global association of investment professionals. CFA Institute offers the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. In addition, CFA Institute provides continuing education conferences, seminars, webcasts, and publications to allow members and other participants to stay current on developments in the investment industry. Serving more than 3,500 members in the Bay Area, CFA Society San Francisco has hosted several dignitaries in the world of finance, including economist and former Secretary of State George P. Schultz; John C. Bogel, founder and retired CEO of The Vanguard Group; and Janet Yellen, first female chair of the Federal Reserve, among others. In addition to high-profile speakers, our members enjoy events and professional education opportunities that are specifically curated to foster both personal and professional growth.
